Antique Japanese Imari Arita bowl with fish 1760-90 handpainted #4277. Object : Arita bowl from the mid-Edo period (1760-90), decorated in underglaze blue. For a bowl of similar shape and reverse design see the catalogue of the Shibata collection, Vol. Decoration : Fish; floral and abstract designs. Size : Diameter 15.5 cm (6"), height 4 cm (1.5"). Marks : Illegible mark (underglaze blue). Shibata dates this mark to the second half of the 18th century. State : Excellent - no cracks, chips or repairs.
